The islamic creed goes as follows: “I bear witness that there is no god except for Allah, and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.”
This is so important to Saudi Arabia that they put this text on their flag.
The belief that there is only one God and that this is Allah, is the most dominant theme in Islam. Not believing in Allah, rejecting Allah or keeping people away from “the way of Allah” is considered to be the most serious crime a person can commit, even worse than murder (Qur’an 2.217).
Hence, in the Islamic view, Osama Bin Laden is better than Mother Theresa, because she believed that Jesus is the son of God and didn’t acknowledge Muhammad as Prophet. Osama Bin Laden on the other hand, is devoting his entire life to Allah and Muhammad.
Muhammad even said that anyone who solely worships Allah will go to paradise, even if he committed theft or adultery (crimes that according to Islamic law should be punished by means of amputation and stoning respectively) (reported by Bukhari 2.23.329, 3.41.573, 4.54.445, 7.72.717, 8.74.285, 8.76.450, 8.76.451, 9.93.579).
